Watch GT 7 Pro Huawei's titanium GT adds ski maps and a new strap
The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro is a £379.99 round smartwatch with a titanium case, ceramic bezel, sapphire screen, ECG and dual-band GPS. It suits Android or iPhone users who want two to three weeks of battery and serious skiing, cycling and golf tracking. The catch: it is a heavy 46 mm watch with a limited app selection and no Google Wallet.

The short version
Huawei has kept the GT 6 Pro's hardware and spent this year's effort on skiing, cycling and golf software, plus a strap that tucks away. It remains one of the longest-lasting premium smartwatches on sale.
What is new about the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro?
The GT 7 Pro is the top model in Huawei's round GT range for 2026. Notebookcheck reported its China launch on 5 August 2026, and Huawei brought it to Europe at an event in Munich on 2 September 2026. Nokiamob reported that it went on sale in the UK the same day at £379.99, which is the price Huawei's UK store still lists for all three colours: Black, Green and Yellow.
This is a software update more than a hardware one. Notebookcheck says the technical specifications are virtually identical to the GT 6 Pro, with the same 1.47 inch screen, sensors and battery claims. What changes is the look and the sports software. Green and Yellow versions pair a silver case with coloured accents, the black version stays all dark, and every model gets Huawei's new EasyCross fluoroelastomer strap, which tucks its tail under itself rather than through a keeper.
The new software adds indoor and outdoor skiing and snowboarding modes, with turn counts, G-force readings and maps for more than 3,000 ski resorts in 59 countries. Cyclists get climb previews, real-time gradient alerts, warnings before sharp turns and support for some smart trainers. Golfers get slope-adjusted distances across more than 17,000 courses.
How big is it, and how will it wear?
Huawei sells the GT 7 Pro in one size, usually described as 46 mm. Its specification page gives the case as 45.6 mm across and 11.25 mm thick, with a weight of about 55.5 g without the strap. Huawei says it fits wrists from 140 to 210 mm.
That is a big, heavy smartwatch by current standards. Android Central notes that the Pixel Watch 5 weighs 37 g, though its reviewer liked the extra heft because it feels more like a conventional watch. The angular case and raised bezel make it look larger still, so anyone with a slim wrist should try one first.
What does it track, and how good is the battery?
The sensor list is complete for the price: optical heart rate, ECG, a barometer, a temperature sensor, a depth sensor and the usual motion sensors. Positioning uses dual-band GPS alongside GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC. Huawei lists more than 110 workout modes, offline maps for running, and a daily Physical Readiness score built from sleep, heart rate variability, activity and stress.
Battery life is the headline. Huawei quotes up to 21 days of light use, 12 days of typical use, 7 days with the always-on display and 51 hours in trail running mode. It charges wirelessly, and Huawei says a full charge takes 95 minutes. Android Central reported about a week between charges with the always-on display and daily workouts, and around 10 days with it switched off.
How well is it built?
The materials are the reason to pay the extra over the standard GT 7. The case is titanium alloy, the raised bezel is Huawei's nano-tech ceramic and the screen sits under synthetic sapphire glass. Huawei rates it to 5 ATM and IP69, and certifies it for free dives to 40 m under the EN 13319 standard. It is not meant for scuba diving, hot showers or saunas.
The 1.47 inch AMOLED panel has a 466 by 466 pixel resolution and a quoted peak of 3,000 nits. There is a speaker and microphone for calls, and NFC payments through Curve Pay rather than Google Wallet.
Is it good value against its rivals?
The closest rival is Huawei's own GT 7 46 mm at £279.99. Huawei's comparison table shows it shares the 21 day battery claim and the new skiing modes, but it has a stainless steel case, lacks ECG analysis and misses the golf course maps and freediving mode. If you don't need those, £100 is a lot to spend on titanium and sapphire.
The second is the Garmin Venu 4, which Garmin UK lists at £439.99. Garmin's training tools and third-party app support are stronger, but the Huawei is cheaper and claims far longer battery life. At £379.99, the GT 7 Pro undercuts most premium smartwatches while matching them on materials.
What is the catch?
The software ecosystem is the main catch. Android Central points out that the watch runs a lightweight operating system, so you can't install apps the way you can on Wear OS or an Apple Watch, and there is no Google Wallet. Huawei offers a small selection of third-party apps through its own AppGallery.
The second catch is that GT 6 Pro owners have little reason to upgrade. Notebookcheck's verdict that the hardware is carried over means the gains are new colours, a new strap and software features, some of which Huawei says arrive by over-the-air update. Owners of the GT 6 Pro praise its battery and build, so expect the same strengths here, along with the same limits.
“Titanium, sapphire and three weeks of battery, held back by a thin app store.”
