The Small Wrists Edit
If most watches look too big on you, start with the Seiko 5 Sports Field GMT SSK059 at 39.4 mm, the Orient Mako 40 at 39.9 mm and the Timex Deepwater Arctic at 40.5 mm. All three are recent launches, and the Timex is the thinnest at 11.5 mm.
Case diameter is only half the story. Lug to lug, thickness and the shape of the case all change how a watch sits. These are the new watches on WhichWatch that should suit wrists under about 16.5 cm, smallest first.
Our picks, in order

Questions people ask
What size watch suits a small wrist?
As a rough guide, wrists under 16.5 cm suit cases of 36 to 40 mm with a lug to lug under about 47 mm. Thickness matters too: under 12 mm sits flatter.
Is 40 mm too big for a small wrist?
Not always. A 40 mm case with short lugs can wear smaller than a 38 mm case with long ones. Check the lug to lug measurement in each first look.
